Conceived in 1996, the Sunburst Jib Bonkers Crew (SJB) was founded by the one and only Colin Hughes of Plymouth, WI.  The SJB is a brotherhood of friends who grew up riding Sunburst Ski Area in Kewaskum, WI and have continued to lead adventurous and active lives traveling the world surfing concrete, water and snow.  Original members included Colin Hughes, Jason Fischer, Shawn Hermann, Danny Vogel, Caleb Thompson, Luke Carnes, Aaron Shaske and the Elmergreen Family (Joey, Pat and myself).  With the recent addition of Mindy our group is growing but continues to stay tight!

The holiday season is always a great time to get the crew together and 2008 was no let down.  See below for an update from field op Colin Hughes with pictures and a video link from the shenanigans!

the week in SJB:

tuesday:  the days inn roof drop after bowling.

wednesday: sunburst session featuring bob spinning like a dredel over the table top, mindy layin down carves and getting greasy, and caleb and i getting kicked out within 3 hours
friday: a select crew turned out for a shred session at nutt hill – the city ski area where i cut my teeth snowboarding in the 7th and 8th grade. the tow rope busted shortly after we arrived so all turns were earned. we also paid homage to those early shred pioneers chosing to riding Sorels with a 1982 Burton Backhill – those things work pretty well when you get’em up to speed in pow. jason got a sweet shot that has frequency written all over it. check the pics!
