Sunburst Spring Jam

The fine folks at Sunburst Ski Area in Kewauskum gave this early Spring the middle finger by keeping their park open an extra weekend for some hike-up action. This video shows just how dedicated Midwest shreds can be – rain, sleet, snow, dirt or 80 degrees temps will not keep them from their appointed rails. Central Boardshop Air & Style

Test the luck of the Irish this Saturday at Central Boardshop’s Air and Style contest at Granite Peak Resort in Wausau. Entry fee is only $5 and it should shape up to be a great late season event to get your shred and your tan on.

Burton Midwest Demo Tour – Granite Peak

This Saturday, the Demo Tour continues with Shepherd and Schaller’s Demo Day at Granite Peak in Wausau. A $5 donation to local ski and snowboard teams gets you in to the demo where you can get faded on the Nug, explore the deeps on the Barracuda or hang out in the Heel Hammock.

The Faction Challenge

Back this year on March 10th is The Faction Challenge at Andes Tower Hills in Alexandria, MN. There’s going to be prizes, raffles, a big ass BBQ and more! $20 gets you into the raffle, hot dogs and some dranks.

Youth Shelter’s Snowrider Classic

Saturday, March 10th is the Snowrider Classic put on by The Youth Shelter Supply at Powder Ridge. Always a great late season contest, this year promises to be a ton of fun.

The Big Chill 2/29

Mark your calendars and open your wallets. The second annual Big Chill benefit is being held at Sully’s House in Chicago. For $35 you get a wristband that entitles you to an all you can eat and drink smorgasbord and two raffle tickets. $10 of that goes straight to the Chill Foundation that helps underprivileged kids lead better lives through snowboarding. The raffle goes down at 10pm and you must be present to win.
